Dear Friends:
Greetings from Guatemala. Wow!!! What a week we just had. Dr. Phil Chase from Auburn
Indiana, whom we have known for 24 years, came to Guatemala with a team to hold a
Medical/Dental Clinic in the town of La Puerta. This is the village where we built a new
ODMI Church earlier this year. It was a great team and the fruit that is being born from this
outreach is great.
The team was joined by our staff of Joel and Danille, Micah, Brother Bill Noftz along with 2
Guatemalan Drs., as well as Halym and Vanessa and myself.
In just 3 days, which we were very long, we saw 868 patients, 181 of these went through the
Dental Clinic. Dr. Chase as well performed 3 minor operations and we saw a total of 13
people accept Christ. 250 different family groups went through the clinic and received their
food package of Beans, rice, pasta, salt and sugar. This was "The More Than Meds Project"
that you all so generously supported.
The youth of the team assisted by our staff ministered twice at the local elementary school
and hundreds heard the Gospel. Praise The Lord!!!!
This last weekend, just completed, the first services were held in the new Church Facility
and Pastor Santos reports that 32 people attended the first night. Praise The Lord!!!!
Services have started now on a twice weekly basis. We do have one problem. We only left
them 15 chairs. My lack of faith I guess. So we need to purchase 50 more chairs. Each chair
will cost us $10, if you would like to help us get these chairs placed in the next 2 weeks
please drop us a line.
